Pics: how, when
I will use the pictures in my story as a means of letting what Mason looks like, what the toys that are in the story look like, what his view from the window looks like, etc. This will facilitate the story because time can go into describing the events and less time can go into describing what they look like. The pictures will also help me know definitely what the readers imagine as they read my story. The pictures they paint in their minds will be based on the pictures and will help them further understand the events.

A Wrong Turn
Last Saturday I went skiing with a group of friends at Wisp Resort. Two of the guys we were with were trying out snowboarding for the first time ever. I had been skiing before, but the last time had been over three years ago. We got off the chair lift for the first round of the day, and we made our way to the green slope sign, signifying a beginner's level of skiing. We all started off together down this "easy" level slope. Everything was going fine; I kept my skis at a constant angle to keep myself from going too fast. Suddenly there was a bend in the path and we could no longer see the ground ahead of us as it dropped down significantly. Apparently we had taken a wrong turn on the slope and gotten onto an intermediate slope by mistake! We stood over the ledge feeling overwhelmed, along with others who had made the same mistake. I heard a woman with two small children ask, "Is this the beginners' slope?" Having no other way down, we were forced to face the intimidating hill. No, the ski trip was not off to a good start.
